Diplomatic Studies “For diplomacy to be effective, hearts must be sincere” The department of Diplomacy and International Relations is committed to offering the highest level of education to our students. Our Courses are a unique combination of theoretical and practical courses in diplomacy and international relations. We aim at making the academic journey towards graduation a learning experience of exceptional stimulation, elegance and unforgettable intellectual and social encounters. We seek to educate a new generation of world diplomats. The interdisciplinary program prepares professionals who are ready to contribute innovative ideas to the challenges and opportunities that public and private sector organizations face in the 21st century. The interdisciplinary nature of the program guarantees the preparation of versatile professionals, who will become knowledgeable on local and international contemporary history, on the characteristics and major elements of an interconnected global economy, the law of the nations, and modern theories in international politics. The intensive academic training is combined with workshops designed to equip participants with the written and oral language skills as well as the analytical tools that allow them to communicate effectively with their own governments, the general public, and the press, as well as the leadership training to transform participants into effective and successful diplomats. Diplomacy includes advocacy, negotiation, communication, formal agreements, and other measures. It is a field with many players, including governments, international organizations, NGOs, the private sector, as well as individuals. All our courses are taught in English by our renowned faculty; professors, ambassadors, statespersons, business people, humanitarians, journalists, theologians, and lawyers, all selected for educating skills and humanitarian commitment alike.
